I love this version of the Bible since it has a dictionary at the end and notes at the bottom of the page. I like the layout since groups of verses are separated into paragraphs with headings. Also each page is arranged as a single column not double columns as in most other bibles. I learned a lot by reading the explanations on the back pages. i bought two versions of this, on kindle and hardcover. I watched the interview the author gave and he worked for about 20 years to keep this version true to its original Hebrew text.Product details

If you're looking for original meanings in Biblical text, this is an excellent resource / help; a scholarly work. Although not exhaustive, the footnotes and glossary are extensive and an amazing asset to Bible study. Our western mindset has often lost touch with the fact that the culture we are reading from was not western. (Knowing the truth is will bear the fruit establishing us and our hope, more and more as we grow! What a neat blessing! What a special help!)

Excellent Bible to have if you want to find out more about the Jewish Roots of our Christianity. We usually read our Bibles from a western cultural understanding and some of our interpretations are nonsense because we do not 'get' that it is Jewish book, written by Jews, in a middle eastern culture. The extra notes are good. Easy to navigate on . I use this Bible and the Amplified at the same time to get the fuller meaning of the Scriptures. I highly recommend this Bible.
One New Man Bible is the ultimate for anyone wanting an actual translation from the original text. We changed from the King James version when we noticed some scriptures took on different meanings and was much more descriptive. It is much more enjoyable to read and study.
I would recommend One New Man Bible over The Jewish Bible for Christian-background Messianics. English names are used for all people and books of Bible except Y'shua Messiah, whereas The Jewish Bible uses all Hebrew names for people and books of the Bible. Words, phrases, and expressions that are retained in Hebrew in The Jewish Bible are translated in One New Man Bible. This makes reading less distracting for the Christian-background Messianic. The footnotes of Jewish customs and the glossary are invaluable sources for understanding the Hebrew roots of the faith. The Bible has a single-column format. Cross references that are usually found in the center column or footnotes are inserted directly into the text. The Old Testament books are in the order of the Jewish canon. This is not a problem, as the most often-read Old Testament books are close to their usual positions. There are no large chapter numbers. Chapter and verse numbers are at the beginning of each paragraph, so that it flows more as a unified text. There are the usual subject headings (with cross-references) that break up each chapter. A drawback is that there is no concordance. A further drawback, which may be a non-negotiable item for many readers, is that the translation is a literal, word-for-word translation, so it is often awkward and does not flow well as modern Christian translations do.

The author, William Morford, took 6 years to translate the first 24 chapters book of Genesis under Rabbi Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, Ph.D.,the grandson of modern Hebrews acknowledged translator Eliezer Ben-Yehuda of which Ben-Yehuda Street in Jerusalem is named after. The New Testament translation is the Power New Testament, a translation by William Morford, author/editor, of the United Bible Society's Fourth Edition Greek text, published in 1993. The goal of the One New Man Bible is to bring a greater understanding of and appreciation for the power given to believers-the power in which we are all supposed to walk. The One New Man Bible also makes the Jewish Roots of Christianty come to life, much like the the Bible comes to life after one has taken a trip to the Holy Land.
I find this bible most enlightening and recommend the hardbound edition without reservation. Given I cannot take my library with me I appreciate this improved format for my Android tablet. You can bounce from book to book fairly easily and then must page to the reference you want. The footnotes are immediately accessible as well as return to your page by one touch. Mr. Morford has taken his years of study and compiled this volume to bring improved understanding of the original faith of the Christ followers which has been watered down and outright slandered over time for political/power struggle reasons. This will truly allow you to be challenged in your faith making you choose who to follow, the dictates of men or the WORD of GOD. Buy either the hardbound book, the edition or both and start on a path of truly finding out the intent of ALL of GOD's teachings.
I would love to be able to read this book on but the organization is absolutely horrible...this Bible version is significant in that there are footnotes in the back that are necessary to understanding why this translation is different than the others but you can't tap/click the links because they are so small and close together that it is impossible to do that without missing and ending up on the wrong note. I'd like to see this in hard copy but absolutely have nothing to do with the version until the publisher fixes it so we can actually use it.
